​Public Notice - Eskaton TEFRA Hearing

​NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 20, 2024, a public hearing as required by Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 will be held with respect to the proposed issuance by the California Municipal Finance Authority (the “Authority”) of its revenue bonds in one or more series in an amount not to exceed $65,000,000 (the “Bonds”), including but not limited to revenue bonds issued as part of a plan to finance improvements and refinance all or a portion of bonds previously issued by the California Statewide Communities Development Authority, ABAG Finance Authority for Nonprofit Corporations and the California Municipal Finance Authority to finance and refinance (i) an assisted living facility owned and operated by the Borrower located at 3939 Walnut Avenue and 3849 Walnut Avenue, Carmichael, California, in an amount of Bonds not to exceed $30,000,000, (ii) a retirement community owned and operated by the Borrower located at 3225 Freeport Blvd., Sacramento, California, in an amount of Bonds not to exceed $15,000,000, and (iii) an assisted living facility owned and operated by the Borrower located at 11390 Coloma Road, Gold River, California, in an amount of Bonds not to exceed $20,000,000, all within the County of Sacramento. The facilities are owned and operated by Eskaton Properties, Incorporated, a nonprofit, public benefit corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of California and an organization described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.​

The Bonds and the obligation to pay principal thereof and interest thereon and any redemption premium with respect thereto do not constitute indebtedness or an obligation of the County of Sacramento, the Authority, the State of California or any political subdivision thereof, within the meaning of any constitutional or statutory debt limitation, or a charge against the general credit or taxing powers of any of them. The Bonds shall be a limited obligation of the Authority, payable solely from certain revenues duly pledged therefor and generally representing amounts paid by the Borrower.​

The hearing will commence at 10:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, and will be held Board of Supervisors Chambers, County of Sacramento, 700 H Street, Room 1450, Sacramento, California. Interested persons wishing to express their views on the issuance of the Bonds or on the nature and location of the facilities proposed to be financed may attend the public hearing or prior to the time of the hearing, submit written comments.​
