We would like inform you that the upcoming Passport Fair on March 22, 2025 is now fully booked. Due to high demand, we will only be allowed to accept walk-ins on a very limited basis. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and encourage you to check for future availability or explore other options for your passport services. You may also book an appointment for our nomal business hours here. Thank you for your understanding.
Cash or credit/debit cards will NOT be accepted as a form of payment for this event. Check or money order ONLY. Please see below for the fee breakdown.

The Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is a designated passport acceptance facility and authorized to receive passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. Our on-site passport agents can help you submit your passport application correctly to avoid any delays. Applications are then submitted to the U.S. Department of State to issue a passport. We also offer passport photos that are printed while you wait.
Our office is unable to process passport renewals. Information about how to renew your passport is available on the U.S. Department of State's website.

Note: You can schedule an appointment up to 21 days in advance. Walk-ins are NOT accepted. Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled time.

*The Department of State does not use 1-2 day delivery services if you only applied for a passport card as they only send cards via First Class Mail.
**Expedited mailing rates are subject to increase during holidays.

You may choose one or both of the following shipment options:
Express Mail: Pay for Priority Mail Express for faster shipping to the Passport Agency. The price for this service is $27.70 (rate as of January 2025).
1-2 Day Delivery: Pay $21.36 for 1–2-day delivery. This means you will receive your passport 1-2 days after the Department of State sends it in the mail. Include this fee with your check or money order payable to the U.S. Department of State.

What to Bring
Please ensure you have all necessary documents when you arrive to your passport appointment.
Completed DS-11 application form (do not sign it until instructed by the passport agent)
Proof of U.S. citizenship (e.g., birth certificate, naturalization certificate)
Government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, identification card)
Passport photo (or use our on-site photo services)
Applicable fees (check or money order made payable to 'U.S. Department of State' and 'Sacramento County-Clerk of the Board'***)
***Fees payable to Sacramento County-Clerk of the Board can be paid in cash.
